All-State Convergence - Worlds Toughest 5k

Welcome to The World's Toughest 5k, a CSAUP designed to test your mental and physical limits. We aren't giving away every detail of the route or the layout, but the concept is simple. After all, it's just 3.1 miles.

What to Expect

The event is broken down into three distinct phases:

  • The Buy-In: A 1-mile heavy ruck to get to the main event.
  • The Core: There's a mile in here, with the meat of the CSAUP, which will be revealed at the event.
  • The Return: A final 1-mile heavy ruck back to the starting point.
Modifications & Completion While this is a high-volume, heavy beatdown, it is fully scalable. If you need to modify the weight, the reps, or the distances, you can. This is F3: Leave no man behind, but leave no man where you find him. Every PAX who registers and shows up will complete this event.

Event Details

  • Date: Saturday, July 25th
  • Time: 0600 sharp
  • Location: TBD (Details will be posted as soon as the site is finalized)
  • Logo & Shirt order: TBD

What to Bring

For the heavy ruck, we'll provide some sandbags and rucks, but it would be helpful if everyone can bring some kind of weight (since we expect a BUNCH of you to show up!) Again, not required (i.e. don't buy gear just for this if you don't have to), but it would be awesome if you have the ability, and can pitch in!
Hydration: We'll have bottles of water, but feel free to bring a hydration pack or re-fillable bottle of water.

What We Provide

  • Water: There will be a massive supply of water available on-site to keep everyone topped off throughout the morning.
  • Shade: There will be tents and cover to keep you cool if you need to step out of the sun
  • Post-Event Food & Drinks: We are providing food and beverages after the beatdown so we can recover, hang out, and enjoy the 2nd F.

Weekend Ruck & Leadership Experience

The Mission of the GrowRuck Training Event (GTE) is to reinforce the F3 Mission Formula, Teach Leadership Principles and Transfer Positive Habits in order to Accelerate Regionnal Growth.

The Endstate is to forge HIGH IMPACT MEN through the three F's of Fitness, Fellowship, and Faith.

During a GTE, we leave no man behind and leave no man where we find him. Together we strive to become better men for our families and our communities.

GTE is a full weekend consisting of these phases:

  1. RALLY - Friday evening - A fellowship gathering to kick off the weekend - First break the ice then break bread (food details TBD) with fellow GTE participants - Meet your GTE Trainers and get fired up by their message - Ask any last minute questions of the F3 Cadre
  2. KING BUILDER - Saturday early morning - An F3 convergence-style workout (as with all F3 workouts, the Kingbuilder itself is open to all men, and it's free to all Friendly New Guys so bring those FNGs!) - A beatdown with a lesson - Led by GTE Trainers
  3. GROW SCHOOL - Saturday late morning - Includes breakfast and coffee - An intense classroom-based leadership seminar covering Q Source The F3 Manual of Virtuous Leadership
  4. CRUCIBLE Ruck - Saturday evening until Sunday morning - The MAIN Effort of a GTE - Each man's leadership skills and the teamwork of the class is accelerated through intense physical and mental adversity - Expect to be challenged and transformed - Expect to push through the limits of your perceived thresholds - Expect to bond deeply with your fellow team members and to be moved during the Sunriser - Average duration 15 hours - Average distance 17 miles
